Crisis launches invitation to tender for evaluation of our Psychological Health & Wellbeing services
Crisis is seeking a skilled and experienced contractor to undertake an evaluation of two projects being run to support the psychological health and wellbeing of our clients (‘members’).
In 2020, Crisis introduced a new Clinical Psychology service, which was set up to end homelessness for people who are traditionally excluded on the grounds of long-term complex needs which arise from significant trauma by:
- Enabling Client Services to adopt trauma informed approaches through Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE)
- Offering individual psychological assessment and intervention to members.
Additionally, Crisis is launching a Peer Mentor Volunteering programme in two Skylights, to activate the wealth of experience and knowledge of people with lived experience of homelessness by training them to become Peer Mentor Volunteers, offering an extra layer of support for members on top of existing Crisis services to improve tenancy sustainment and mental health outcomes for Crisis members.
The evaluation of these two projects will run from September 2022 to December 2024, and will use a longitudinal, mixed methods and co-produced approach to draw insights into both the process and impact of these projects.
This evaluation will aim provide evidence to inform practice regarding psychological services in the homelessness sector, delivered by clinical practitioners and by peers.
