A journey out of homelessness can take time. As we all know, finding a home, getting doctors’ appointments, navigating the benefits system and finding new employment isn’t always easy. But your monthly gift will help provide the vital support needed to help people end their homelessness for good.
Algimantas has been supported by Crisis in Oxford since 2012 and has been a Crisis member since January 2023, when he became homeless.
The housing and cost-of-living crises affect many people, making it harder to build a sustainable future. Algimantas knows how challenging it can be.
He was forced to sofa-surf and even sleep in a tent. This was all happening while he maintained a job, until he was forced out of it, too.
With the help of Crisis Algimantas was given financial support to help him find suitable accommodation.
Thanks to supporters like you, we can help someone leave homelessness behind for good.
“ When you stay too long on the street, you see a lot of bad things happen.”

We are the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We help people out of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to solve it altogether.
Your donation helps to fund Crisis' response to the cost of living crisis and our year-round work with people experiencing homelessness. We work side by side with people as they find ways out of homelessness across England, Scotland and Wales.
How we help someone depends on their individual needs. It could be help finding a home and settling in well, getting new skills and finding a job, or improving health and wellbeing.
By understanding the immediate pressures of homelessness, as well as the wider societal pressures that push people into homelessness in the first place, we can solve homelessness for good in Great Britain.
For every £1 we spend on fundraising, we raise £3.14 to fund our charitable services.
We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and promise to be honest, respectful, and accountable in how we treat you.
Where we give example stories about our members, we promise these are genuine experiences, even if their names or photos are changed to respect their privacy.
Although we cannot guarantee your donation will be spent on specific items or services, we can guarantee your donation will be used wherever it is needed most to help our work all year round with people facing homelessness.
Please contact our Supporter Services team if you have any questions about making a donation to Crisis. You can also contact them if you would like to change the way we communicate with you.
