Thank you to our amazing Crisis at Christmas corporate supporters

As another year closes on Crisis at Christmas, we want to say thank you to all our wonderful existing and new corporate partners that chose to support Crisis at Christmas this year.

Due to the ongoing pandemic we had to adapt our services again. This meant instead of being able to open our Christmas day centres we operated hubs across London that offered hot food, warm clothing, medical checks and many other services to people experiencing homelessness.

For the second year in a row we accommodated more than 500 guests in ensuite hotel rooms during the coldest time of the year for a period of two weeks.

Every Christmas Crisis needs all sorts of donations. Toiletries for wellbeing packs, warm clothing for guests or groceries for our Christmas meals are as appreciated as the generous financial support that help us run our services and activities during Christmas and all year-round.

Each donation makes a difference and we would like to give a shoutout to some of our corporate supporters that made this Crisis at Christmas possible:

  • Papa John’s run their festive meal deal special for the third time, which supports Crisis by donating 50p for every festive meal deal sold. They also supported Make it Crisis this Christmas again and ensured that our Christmas team didn’t go hungry

  • Dr Paw Paw generously donated 550 bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner to our wellbeing packs that were handed out to guests

  • Chik’n donated 50p for every Twisted Xmas Burger sold until 9th January

  • Creams Café supported Crisis at Christmas for the second time by donating 500 original Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes and other delicious desserts as part of our Christmas meals

  • Hush not only supported Crisis during Black Friday and is one of our Connect for Crisis supporters, but they also donated over 1,000 new clothing items to our retail and Christmas team

  • Boden supported Crisis with 940 Christmas gifts at a total of £27,500. In addition, we received gift in kind donations to our shops

  • The Ragged Priest donated 900 clothing items such as t-shirts, beanies, army jackets and thermals to our centres and hotels as part of their ‘BUY ONE DONATE ONE’ campaign during Black Friday week

  • Rushton the Green Grocer was a true lifesaver, as they stepped in last minute to donate groceries after one of our usual providers had to drop out

  • Snug Sofa supported Crisis from Black Friday to Boxing Day. This is the 3rd year in a row that Snug partnered with us by donating proceeds of their campaign

  • Invisibobble donated 100% of proceeds from their limited HAIRHALO British Royal Charity Box towards our wellbeing packs

  • Sky donated Sky sports and Sky cinema passes which allowed our hotel guests to watch football and movies

  • Tesco Mobile raised an incredible £27,815 through a digital, social media and in-store campaign in support of our Crisis at Christmas appeal, in addition to donating 500 smart phones and 50 tablets for our Crisis at Christmas guests to use. Our guests will use their new smart phones to stay in touch with essential support services , family and friends as they work to leave homelessness behind for good

  • Wimbledon Foundation staff got stuck into volunteering with our Christmas warehouse team, sorting through donations and helping re-organise items for use at future Crisis at Christmas projects. You're all welcome back any time!

Thank you to everyone who supported Crisis at Christmas and making it such a special time for our guests and helping someone to take their first steps out of homelessness.
